Are there any hidden monthly fees?

No. Our $950 package is a one-time investment. Unlike other agencies that charge "monthly maintenance fees," our code stays stable on its own. You only pay for your own domain and hosting.

Do you offer hosting and domain services?

We can help you choose reliable hosting and set everything up, but hosting and domain costs are paid directly to the provider for your ownership.

Is SEO included in the website packages?

Basic on-page SEO is included. This helps your website be search-engine friendly, but advanced or ongoing SEO services are offered separately.

Do you use pre-made templates?

No. We design every website from scratch based on your business needs. We do not use low-cost pre-designed templates.

What if I already have a website — can you redesign it?

Yes! We can redesign your existing website from scratch with a fresh, modern look.

What if I need more than 5 pages?

Absolutely. Additional pages are $150 each. That said, we always work with you to keep costs down — most businesses don't need more than 5.

What is your payment structure?

Simple 3-step plan: 30% deposit to start, 30% when we show you the first demo, and 40% on completion. No surprises.

Is the deposit refundable?

No. The 30% deposit is non-refundable. Once you approve, we reserve our team and schedule for your project.

What if I cancel the project?

The deposit is non-refundable, and you'd also pay for any work already completed. We recommend being sure before starting — that's why we offer free consultations first.

Do I own the website after it's done?

Yes. Once you pay in full, you own the design and all custom code. We may keep a small credit in the footer (e.g., "Designed by BetterBlue Studio").

What does "Maintenance-Free & Highly Secure" actually mean?

Traditional sites require updates. We build high-performance Informational websites with no plugins to update and no databases to hack. Your site stays fast, secure, and your maintenance cost is $0/month.

Can I still update my website?

Absolutely. Text changes are easy in the HTML file, or if you prefer a platform like WordPress, we can build that too.

Do you build WordPress websites?

No. We build everything with clean, hand-written code (PHP, HTML, JavaScript). No WordPress, no pre-made templates — just custom-built for you.

Can you add features to my website later?

Yes, we can upgrade your website anytime. New features or changes may have an additional cost depending on the work involved.

Is my website backed up?

Backups are handled by your hosting company. Most providers include automatic backups, but we recommend confirming this with them or checking your hosting plan details.

Is there a warranty after the project is done?

Yes — we provide a 90-day bug-fix warranty. If something we built isn't working as agreed, we'll fix it at no extra cost.

Can I use my own hosting company?

Yes. You're free to choose any hosting provider. We can recommend trusted options, but the choice is yours.

What happens if my website goes down?

We don't provide hosting services. We help you choose a trusted, reliable hosting company. If your site goes down, you'd contact your hosting provider's support team directly.

Will my business show up on Google for local searches?

Yes. Every BetterBlue site includes Local SEO setup, optimizing your code so that customers in Edmonton or Calgary find you first.

How long does it take to get my website live?

Our "Business Informational Website" package is typically live in 10-14 business days. For advanced projects, the timeline is generally 4-6 weeks.

Do you serve businesses outside of Alberta?

Yes! We're based in Alberta, Canada, but we serve clients across Canada and worldwide. We have customers from all around the globe.

Can you help me set up Google Business Profile?

If we build your website, we'll set it up for free. If you already have a profile, we offer professional optimization for a flat rate of $250.

Do you guarantee my website will rank #1 on Google?

No one can guarantee that. We build your site with SEO best practices so it's ready to rank, but search results depend on many factors. We offer ongoing marketing services to help you climb higher.

What kind of apps and tools can you build?

We build all types — complex web apps, AI-powered tools, and mobile apps (Android & iOS). Whether it's a startup idea or a business tool like scheduling, customer management, inventory, or payment integration — if you can imagine it, we can build it.

What's the difference between a website and a web app?

What do you need from me to get started?

Just your business info and what you need. We'll put together a proposal, and once you approve it, you pay a 30% deposit and we start right away.

How many revisions do I get?

Each page includes up to 2 revision rounds. Revisions cover that page's content and layout. Changes to global design elements (header, footer, colors, fonts) after approval are treated as a Change Order with additional cost.

What if I'm not happy with the design?

We show you a demo first. You can request changes during your revision rounds (2 per page). If you want to change the overall design direction (colors, fonts, layout) after approving the demo, that would be a Change Order with additional billing.

Do you write the content for my website?

Yes, we help write your website content as part of the project.

What happens if I stop responding during the project?

If we don't hear from you for 30 days, the project is considered abandoned. All payments made are kept, and restarting requires a reactivation fee.
